Questions and answers

What is a cast?

A standing watch. You describe what you want in plain English and hit Pull. Pullcast turns that into a checklist and checks every new listing against it, from then on, and lets you know when something fits, with the reasons why.

Where do listings come from?

Today, job postings published on thousands of companies' own career pages (Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby job boards). More kinds of listings, like music gear, are on the way. If you pull for something that isn't live yet, we save your request and let you know when it is.

How does Pullcast decide what matches?

Every new listing is read in full once and judged on things like whether it's really remote, its seniority, the kind of work, the industry, and its posted pay. Your cast's checklist is compared against those judgments. "Strong matches" meet every must-have with high confidence; "Worth a look" probably fit, but we're less sure about at least one requirement.

How accurate is it?

Often right, not always. The judgments are automated estimates, so check anything important with the company. Listings also change or disappear. If a match looks wrong, tell us at [email protected]; it helps us improve.

Why is "remote" such a big deal?

Many job boards mark a job remote when it actually requires office days, living near an office, or being in certain states. Pullcast reads the posting itself and tells you what it really says, and for vague postings, how likely it is to be remote.

Can I change a cast?

Yes. Edit its checklist anytime (drop a requirement, make a nice-to-have a must-have, set a pay floor); that's instant and free. Or edit its description to rebuild the checklist from scratch, which counts as one of your daily pulls.

What's the difference between the checklist and the filters on a cast?

The checklist changes what the cast watches for and emails you about. The search and filters above the results only change what you're looking at right now.

How will I hear about matches?

By email, instantly or as a daily digest, your choice. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and your casts keep updating on the site either way.

What does Free include? Why would I pay?

Free includes everything built on Pullcast's shared analysis: as many casts as you need (fair use), every match with reasons, the remote and pay insight, and instant alerts. Each listing is read once on shared questions (remote, level, kind of work, industry, pay posted and more), and every cast reuses those answers. Named skills and tools, like "Python and Spark", are checked against each listing's text, also free.

Paid plans pay for work done just for you. When a requirement isn't one of the shared questions, like "works on procurement software", Pro reads every listing to check it for your cast. On Free, those requirements are marked Pro on your checklist and aren't checked. Pro also reads your best matches against your own description and marks each a strong, possible, or weak fit. See Pricing.

Is there a limit on casts?

Only fair-use limits, the same for everyone: 25 active casts and 20 pulls a day. They're there to keep the Service fast and reliable, not to push upgrades.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel Pro anytime from My casts → Manage billing. The 90-day pass doesn't renew. See Refunds for the details.

How do I delete my account?

Email [email protected] from your account's address and we'll delete your account and casts within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy.

Pullcast reads public listings and links you to the original.
